Is nitrous safe for your engine? I hear people say it is not yet I see lots of people who have it on basically stock cars. How much is too much? Is 50-75 hp a good safe number to start with? Thanks for the input.

From what I've read, you should be good up to a 125 shot on a stock motor.

ahhh, the old "is nitrous/NOS/naawwwz (pick your poison  ) safe" question..
Let's see... 100 shot is a-ok on a stock motor, Providing:
you have adequate fuel and spark
your not burning oil
you refrain from hitting it at idle ;)
so far as "safe" and "it kills motors"
It is just like any other power adder, sex, drugs or rock &roll,,,
it is just as safe as the "operator/loose nut behind the wheel"
I don't think you can find a single case of nitrous killing a motor, it is the operators fault or ignorance, or an equipment failure, or mis-application (can you say 250 shot on a cast piston 305?)

see sig for quote!! :p
