I just got a free 5.0 TPI 305 with tranny and i wanted to know if it is possible to stick it in my 1994 camaro i believe the 305 was from a 86 iroc and estimated horse and torque are 190 hp and 285 lbs trq. I also got a set of headers for it and a hurst ratchet shifter. The tranny is auto for the 305. My question is will it fit

You could do it, but the swap wouldn't be worth all the trouble by a long shot.

The 3.4 with a good tune and some bolt-ons is just as fast if not faster than that 305. Without major work, you MIGHT see a 15 sec timeslip with a 305. They can be good motors, but you need to swap heads/cam to see any kind of good gains.

That pretty much covers it. The 305s of that era aren't exactly thought very highly of. Then comes in the emissions issue (if you have to pass smog), and all that stuff. It's not a worthwhile swap. Basically you'd be trading one underpowered motor for another one.
