Whats the monthly lease on a 2005 Mustang GTjawzforlife 11-24-2004, 01:26 PM Anybody know the monthly cost for a lease? 2005 Mustang GT w/ 5-speed. Magnum Force 11-24-2004, 02:16 PM can't help you..try some of the stang/FoMoCo sites, or just contact you local friendly salessnake at the dealership Melee Penguin 11-24-2004, 02:52 PM What happened to the C5 idea punk? :P jawzforlife 11-24-2004, 03:03 PM What happened to the C5 idea punk? :P Just weighing my options. Honestly I dont think I could bring myself to by a Mustang, but the thought of a brand new car compared to a used seams real nice. What I'm hoping for is a the monthly lease price on a Mustang GT to be more than I expect, and than I can go undoubtful to a C5. Melee Penguin 11-24-2004, 03:20 PM I understand how "fixed under warranty" and "YOUR brand new car" appeals to ya. What options for the Mustang GT did you want? http://www9.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/Dispatch.jsp?makeTransition=ToTrimSelect&__action2=&.CurrentState=ZipCode&processModel=1&selectModel=2005+Mustang&statetoken= jawzforlife 11-24-2004, 03:21 PM I understand how "fixed under warranty" and "YOUR brand new car" appeals to ya. What options for the Mustang GT did you want? Dont forget about zero miles on the "clock" ;) I did a Mustang GT Coupe Deluxe w/ 5-speed wheel locks Anti-theft Interior Upgrade (dont really need) 17" bright wheels Melee Penguin 11-24-2004, 03:39 PM After choosing all those options click the payment estimator and determine all your lease terms. 36 months without a down payment and 45,000 miles per term I showing $489 a month. jawzforlife 11-24-2004, 03:54 PM After choosing all those options click the payment estimator and determine all your lease terms. 36 months without a down payment and 45,000 miles per term I showing $489 a month. Oh thanks, I didn't see the payment estimater for a loan, I thought I had to get contacted by a dealer to get a price. Anyways $489 is WAY to much (I thought it would be MUCH lower). Makes sme feel alot better about getting a used C5 :D Darth Xed 11-24-2004, 03:56 PM Oh thanks, I didn't see the payment estimater for a loan, I thought I had to get contacted by a dealer to get a price. This all started when you told my your GTO lease was $239 a month. I thought damn, $239 a month for a $27,000 car (after rebates), i must be able to get a cheaper GT for less than that. I guess I thought wrong though. Cuz even if that Mustang price is inflated, It ant going to drop below $239. Melee Penguin 11-24-2004, 04:03 PM You could hold out for rebates on an 05 GTO. ;) http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_01_z.jpg http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_02_z.jpg http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_03_z.jpg With hood scoops of course. :D jawzforlife 11-24-2004, 04:12 PM You could hold out for rebates on an 05 GTO. ;) http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_01_z.jpg http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_02_z.jpg http://www.highperformancepontiac.com/features/0405pon_gtoautocross_03_z.jpg With hood scoops of course. :D Has to offical prices of all the "add-ons" on that red GTO been announced yet? P.S. still not better than woodward, but better than the [plain 2004 Aeromaks 11-24-2004, 04:16 PM the lease payment on a new Gt should be no more than $350-400 for 39 months. The reason his gto payment is so cheap is because it is a 2 year lease, and he used rebates and gm card points to reduce the payment on the lease. You are leasing, the amount well here is apx the formula. Selling Price - Estimated Residual at end of Lease = Leased Amount not including your taxes and stuff. Break the leased amount into payments, or use money to bring down the monthly payment. Leases on Imports are usually much cheaper, ie a brand new altima, 36 month lease, 0 out of pocket for $235 a month. Leases on domestics are usually too expensive, without rebates, because the residual value at the end of the lease is like less than half the value. If you wanted to lease a new stang, just wait a little till they carry some inventory, and they will start offering rebates, you should be able to get a good lease for under $300 on a GT with little or no money down. P.S. still not better than woodward, but better than the [plain 2004 I'm pretty sure we'll find out the prices of the "add ons" when we find out the prices of the 05 GTOs. Cuz even if that Mustang price is inflated, It ant going to drop below $239. Ya, you gotta do some research on what is available when. For a comparison, I did up a same-term lease on a new TrailBlazer that MSRP'd right where the GTO was... it was almost $100 MORE per month. Residual value, selling price, and other factors come into play like everyone else is saying... Big Als Z 11-29-2004, 10:49 AM This is how I figured it out. Someone told me to use this as a rule of thumb. Cut the price of the car in half and then divide over how many months. Example.. Car stickers for 25k, cut in half to 12.5k. Divide over 36 or 48 months. 36=347.22 48=260.42 That should give you a good idea on how much to pay per month. 92RS shearn 11-29-2004, 11:42 AM Then tack on the $2k leasing fee and don't forget tax. | ||
