WTB Black Center Console Parts for 94 A4 Z/28

My G/F happily broke the storage compartment lid on my center console for my 94 A4 Z/28. It broke off at the hinge. The car has black interior color. I am not sure if this peice is removable by itself or I need the whole center part from the dash back. If anyone has insight or the part let me know. Thanks!

You can get new 93-96 Camaro lids off ebay for $50-75 with buy it now option. They are all over there. That is your best bet as everyone that has a 93-96 console the lid is broken. You might also consider getting a 97+ console they can be had for 50-75 if you look around some. They have lids that don't break off and a good cup holder that doesn't spill your pop in your shifter area when you stop. It also has 3 extra cupholders on it and 2 cigarette lighter plug ins. I would just upgrade consoles.

Thanks alot for the suggestions. Do you have pics of what the 97+ look like, and how hard are they to put in? Any fabracation needed?

I have 1 pic of my console on the ground before in stalled it. Its complete minus the shift boot. You can see it has two cupholders mounted right at the bottom rear of it. Then the front has a swing out cupholder on the pass. side and the drivers is in the same spot as your old one. Its much deeper though so your drink doesn't spill. Also the front "pocket" on the 97 actually holds stuff in under hard acceleration. There is an install guide on Brent's site, or do a search and you will find one. The only possible fabrication would be making a piece to fill the void where the old cassette holder went, or you can just leave that space empty. Also make sure you get the 97 front mounting bracket as most of the time if you buy the console people don't include it. I did make my own front bracket out of a piece of aluminum strap. 3 out of the 4 old console mounting holes line up and work. Its an easy swap.

Heres an install guide that might answer all your questions. I should have my custom made CD holder to fill the gap done tom, and i'll post some pics.

I am going to try to fix the early style one. I am going to try to just buy the part under the lid. I think thats all I need. Let me know anyone.
