Ok so for 3 years now I've had the thing where you go start your car, and it idols REALLY low for a little, and eventually goes back to normal, it's happened about TWO TIMES in 3 years.

Now in the last 2 weeks it's happend like 9 times. Yesterday alone it happened in the morning, was fine all day, then when i went to leave work, it was all F'd up agian...

What in the H3ll is going on?

Battery might be dying. My car did the same thing, dealer replaced it for free.

Well i thought that, but i have an optima battery thats about 4 months old. Also, there's no idication that there's a problem w/ it. Is there ANY other possible reasons?

Under what normal conditions does the computer reset it self?

New battery doesn't mean that it's not defective. Or could be loose connections.
Extreme voltage drops during startup can cause computer problems.
It never does a complete reset on it's own. It will reset timing tables after a fuel fill-up.

could be a fuel issue, or alternator.
