More Header Questions.

I'm thinking of getting the QTP headers for my 01 Z. I wanted to keep it legal, so would I need the Y-Pipe with the cats attached or what. Its kinda confusing to me. I have the loudmouth so I wont doubt that it will be loud but I want it to sound like http://www.ls1sounds.com/QTP/QTP_Platinum-High.wmv (With open headers) and still be legal. Also is that car stock with just headers and QTEC's or what? I really want mine to sound that way and need to be sure on whats making it like that so I dont order something and then get disapointed. that's just longtubes with dual cutouts coming off of the headers. You could do that, you'll just have to get high flow cats and have an exhaust shop fabricate a y-pipe for that system, it should sound pretty much identical, as long as your cutouts are before the cats.

Thanks alot. So basically your saying don't buy the $600 Y-pipe from them, get someone to make one for me?

you could buy the y-pipe, but either way it will have to be modified to accomodate the cutouts.
