Thats what I have. oohotvette 11-22-2004, 06:01 PM Selling mine 2000 silver vette wheels mint cond $400 I live in Florida. :D thelastz28 11-24-2004, 01:14 AM do you have any pics of the wheels? if so send to thelastz28@yahoo.com THanks. :D kingman109 11-29-2004, 01:08 AM pics in sig- but on an LT1 camaro hope it helps thelastz28 12-04-2004, 01:29 AM Nice car bro, those wheels really do look awesome. The picture really helped. Where did you get your FFI SS hood? I am looking to buy one. LS1 though. :D kingman109 12-04-2004, 11:36 AM thnx- bought the hood straight from the company last year- wasnt sure what the quality was gonna be like considering price- but i must say i was really impressed- my body shop was too considering the price- if u want i have pics of what it comes like straight out of box- and some fitment pictures may help ur decision- ohh and the company is pretty good to deal with- always answered my emails and even sent me a new receipt for my salvage inspection- 3 months later thelastz28 12-05-2004, 08:33 PM So you bought the hood from a Chevrolet dealer? Post some more pics of your car. I just bought some Y2K wheels, what size tire do I buy. 17" in front, 18" in back. Thanks  kingman109 12-05-2004, 11:46 PM if ur referring to me - the hood came from Fiberglass Fabricators INC.. hood out of box pic 1 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00442.JPG) hood out of box pic 2 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00443.JPG) hood fitment 1 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00473.JPG) hood fitment 2 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00475.JPG) those are some hi-res pix of what it looked like straight from box then bolting up to factory hinges without adjusting. the left side sat about 1/8" high and right 1/8" low- but with some tweaking it was nearly perfect- also my front bumper cover is the 60$ special off ebay so fitment would be better on stock in case u wonder what those look like heres some pics bumper 1 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00364.JPG) bumper 2 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00366.JPG) bumper 3 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00368.JPG) bumper 4 (http://kingman.rh.rit.edu/hood/DSC00370.JPG) as for my Y2k's the originals are 17" up front and 18" in back- i decided to go with 18x9.5" all around on all 4- for my tires im running 275-40-18 - i would recomend going with a 35 sidewall just so your speedo is accurate but i dont like low pro tires so went with the widest i could- still no rubbing- in the spring im bumping my rears to a 295 tire- ohh and currently they are Nitto 555's on the back and Khumo Ecsta's on the front- and to finish this post off more pics of my car can be found here Pictures of winter beater- and rebuild (http://community.webshots.com/user/kingman109_us) if u want any hi-res shots of those let me know i have the hi-res pics on my computer and can throw up on my webserver- --------------------------------------------------------- hope all that info helps :p thelastz28 12-06-2004, 06:44 PM Are there any carbon fiber hoods for the f-body? Have you seen anyone with a silver camaro w/ black top and black hood? I wonder what that would look like? ssmando 12-07-2004, 06:13 PM had some c5 on car b 4 i put 20s on, back tire rubbed at sharp turns, looked good though mkent 12-09-2004, 03:34 PM in the spring im bumping my rears to a 295 tire- ohh and currently they are Nitto 555's on the back and Khumo Ecsta's on the front- :p how are you gonna get 295's under the rear? i'm running 285's and had to beat the crap out of the inner fender wheel to make clearance! also i was wondering if you can run these wheels/tires with lowering springs? and for the original poster: just click on the link in my sig. its an LT1 car but you cant tell in the pic. kingman109 12-09-2004, 06:06 PM what years your car? i know for some reason some people had luck fitting them with out hammering and others havent- currently with my 275x18's i have no problem with room - definately have another inch of space. thelastz28 12-10-2004, 12:35 AM So, I should have no problem with 275 40 R18s in the rear? And Is 245 45 R17 good for the front? Why are the front tires bigger ( 45 as to 40 ) than the rear? Isnt that the corvette stock tires? Thanks for the help. I have the wheels, I just need to find some tires. :alert: kingman109 12-10-2004, 10:35 AM So, I should have no problem with 275 40 R18s in the rear? Thanks for the help. I have the wheels, I just need to find some tires. :alert: 275-40-18 will be fine for the rear but i reccomend going with a 35 sidewall so as not to throw off the speedo - (275-35-18) basically becuase the rim is getting bigger you are reducing the sidewall to keep the same overall size as a stock tire/rim- for the front i hope u meant to type 275-45-17 - but ya that should be fine- id post a question in the wheels and tire section just to be sure- but thats it thelastz28 12-14-2004, 12:03 AM I got my wheels and tires mounted it looks way better and runs better too. THanks for your help. :D kingman109 12-14-2004, 07:50 AM :thumb: post some pics bigbadbirdy 12-28-2004, 08:51 AM kingman, are you still selling your vette wheels? kingman109 12-28-2004, 01:21 PM nope - wouldnt think about it plus i curbed one of the front ones :( | ||
