Tires are really bald, new some tire suggestions..

Howdy,

I have a 97 Z28 camaro with the 5 spoke rims (not the salad shooters) in 16x? rim size. I was curious if i could run a wider tires something like a 265-275/40-45/16. Tires are pretty bald all around with me able to see thin spots (not alot of rubber before belt will come out) on the outer edge of the front tires...need some suggestions as well as to who makes a great tire in that size. As long as its a street street tire (no street slicks, etc.) i'd appreciate it.

I'm running 265's on my stock 16 x 8 five spokes for auto-x with no problems. They do bulge a bit though. I can't suggest any street tires in that size but check out tire rack, good prices and selection.

255/50/16 is the widest recommended tire for the stock 16x8. go read tire rack reviews on what you want out of the tire and for what price

and it sounds like you need a front end alignment
