Well this is my first post to this forum...
I call a 89 Z28 my own :) Its equipped with that electric hatchback release thingy. One evening I thought I'll give it a try, pushed that button long and a short time again when the lid was open. It stayed open... Means, when I closed the lid again, nothing happened, where usually this lid should be closed automatically. Next day I went to an US car service (rare here around in Germany :D), told this guy there my &%* hatchback wouldnt close, and he walked to the car, sticked a finger into the lock and suddenly this small motor in the lock did something and came up. He touched it again, and the motor went down again. When he closed the hatchback, it got closed as it should be closed. This seems to be a common problem? He told me that the motor in the lock got somehow irritated and stayed down instead of coming up.
Does anyone have an idea, finally, after all this blabbing, what he could have touched inside there what made the lock work again?
And here's the second ques. I promise to make it fast. The car has this huge old Delco radio, and I'd like to replace it with my cool modern CD player :metal: www.americaninternational.com seems to provide the tools necessary, or is it something different? I guess no one out there stays with the Delco?
OK I'm done now. You may wake up. I said WAKE UP.
Thanks n seeya all
