The only real way to beef up your trans is to have it rebuilt. If it's just going behind a 350hp motor you'll be fine.

Re: How to best beef up a A4 cheap

Key questions:
How many miles on the tranny????
When was the last fluid change????
What color is the current fluid????
Does the fluid smell burnt?????
Is there any problems with the tranny now?????
Are you going to keep the stock Torque Convertor?????

If you are putting in a fresh motor with more HP, then you should beef up the tranny and differential.. If not, then this will be a problem in the future....JMO

Trannys can be rebuilt fairly good for around 600-900 dollars....
