How to best beef up a A4 cheap
How to best beef up a A4 cheap
in a year or 2 I will be swapin my 305 on my 83 berlinetta for a built 350, The guy says it should have atleast 350hp, I need to know how or if I need to beef up my A4 tranny to handle this new power? thanks
Re: How to best beef up a A4 cheap
Key questions:
How many miles on the tranny????
When was the last fluid change????
What color is the current fluid????
Does the fluid smell burnt?????
Is there any problems with the tranny now?????
Are you going to keep the stock Torque Convertor?????
If you are putting in a fresh motor with more HP, then you should beef up the tranny and differential.. If not, then this will be a problem in the future....JMO
Trannys can be rebuilt fairly good for around 600-900 dollars....
