Whats the best procharger setup out there for a high mile (100K) totally stock (block/heads) LT1? It has always been pampered and had no engine problems.. Also if any what would need to be modified (port job/bigger injectors/PCM tuning etc...)...i plan on running 6psi...thanks

also whats the difference between the 600B and the P1SC (as the DISC seems too dangerous)...do i need bigger injectors and lower gapped plugs...or a port job?

I am running a p600b on my 189,000 original mile LT1. only engine mod is a hotcam. I have 30 # injectors but am still tuning it and i may need to go bigger. I am using the inline pump and Fuel management unit that comes with the kit. The difference between the p600 and the p1sc is the p1 is self contained which means no oil lines. If you get the p600 be aware that you will have to tap your oil pan. I think the p1sc supports more boost but someone correct me if i a wrong on that.

so thats the only diference? no oil lines....i would run only 6 psi...what r u running psi wise? i figure get 36 lb injectors...gap plugs to .35...and get a pcm tune...is that it? did u do the install urself? it seems easy...so ur saying go with the P1SC

also would the P1SC setup produce good numbers even on my stock heads and cam/block

yeah in hindsight i would have went with the p1sc because it is easier to install. A friend and i did the install. I am currently running 12 pounds of boost and 30# injectors. I wouldnt not reccommend that uch boost if you want your motor to live very long, but I am building a stroker so I really could care less what happens to this one. I would say you could go 8 pounds with an intercooler and not have problems.

i think ill stick with 6lbs b/c i dont want to rebuild this engine that soon..running only 6lbs on the stock heads and block should givce me some good results right? ATI the cheapest or only place i should look? (think it was 3800$! ouch) Ill be glad i have those unlimited email tunes from Ion.

If you dont have the money to rebuild it now, I wouldn't put a SC on it. People have blown thier stock motors on 6psi. For it to last you will need a really good tune + some good 93 octane gas.

you can get a kit off the message board for pretty cheap. I got mine for like 1200, but had to hunt down some parts.

I am with Mystic95Z, there are many out here who learned the hard way (i.e. $$$$$). Do yourself a favor, and rebuild the engine now for a SC in the future....
