Would it work to use the wiring harness connector, But cut the factory speaker wires and wiring them straight to my new head unit? Since my speaker won't work through the wiring harness, would they work if wired straight to the stereo. Or would I have to run new wiring to the speakers?

One more question. :D The head unit on my 95 z28 is considered a Bose right? The hu itself only says Delco Loc II. But the speaker covers all say Bose.

I don't know too much of the Bose or Monsoon systems, my car didn't have either. I normally just run new wire, but splice in the adpater harness, not in your harness, that way in the future you can still take you equipment with you if you ever sell the car.
Coat-hangers work great for fishing the new speaker wire through the rubber grommets in the doors. It's not that hard you have to remove a bunch of panels, but that's easy; take your time if it's the first time you've ever removed the panels, but I can have an entire interrior of a Firebird out in about 45 mins, I've done it so much.

If I run speaker wires straight to the speakers will this be by-passing the amps? These external amps got me confussed, of how they actually work.

Yup, just run new speaker wires from your aftermarket HU to the proper speakers and you're good to go. IIRC the Bose amplifiers are mounted directly on the speakers, thus when you remove the speakers and re-run the wures you'll completely bypass all the factory stuff.

I got it up and running today. Just hooked up the remote wire (blue wire) and it turned every thing on. So its running all the factory speakers and amps.Thanks.
