My 95z just started knocking when excellerating from a stop slowly, its coming from the passenger side rear. Ive noticed it doesnt do it when the car is cold. Any ideas what this might be?

I had this same problem this weekend. Although I'm sure it's not the same as your problem. I had a 1/2" X 4" lag screw in my tire. Funny thing was it was the passenger rear. I thought my rearend was comming apart. For your problem, I'm not sure why it would knock when it was cold, cause you said it was comming from the rear of the car. BTW, how does you car know excell? :D :D

From the shop manual:

Knock at Low Speeds

Low speed knock be caused by a worn univeral joint or a side gear hub counterbore in the differential case worn oversize. Inspect and replace universal joint or the differential case and side gear as required.

Mine was doing the same until yesterday... I just put in a 4.10 rear and the knock is gone.... but now it's whining instead! Yes!!! :D
