I just got some Global West weld in SFC's. They are tubular. Each one weighs about 15 pounds. I don't know which one goes on which side of the car. One of them is straight and the other is shaped like a J.

Weld in sub frame connectors?357 RS 10-03-2002, 03:32 PM I just got some Global West weld in SFC's. They are tubular. Each one weighs about 15 pounds. I think the straight one goes on the driver's side, and the bent on is the passenger side. 357 RS 10-03-2002, 11:56 PM My friend got them off E-bay and he sold them to me for $90.00. They have never been used and I don't have any directions. I think GW is the only company that makes tubular SFC's. I'm just not sure how these things are going to mount to my car and if they will clear my SLP headers and single 3" catback with no cats. MoJoe 10-04-2002, 09:25 AM I've had GW SFCs on my '87 IROC for the past 7 years. I think they are great. The 'J' shaped SFC is the driver's side. The curved part goes forward, reaching from the rocker area into the central/tunnel/trans mount area. The straight SFC squeezes past the exhaust. I also have SLP headers. Initially the exhaust would rub the SFC occaisionally, but a little re-adjustment when mounting up the crossover pipe cleared that interference. BTW, the is a 3" pipe from the "Y" into the cat. Good luck. Joe Kevin91Z 10-05-2002, 11:33 AM Alston makes tubular SFC's too, those are the ones I have. Try contacting Global West? http://www.globalwest.net/ aklim 10-05-2002, 12:07 PM J goes on the right side and other one goes on the left. In the case of the right, there is a slot that it slips into in the front. I could tell you but I'd have to kill you. Actually I could show you but you are too far away. | ||
