Hey guys, im really needing some good front brake pads for my car...Im looking for a combination of quiet, good breaking, dust free ( least amount of dust possible ) break pads..the cost isnt really a concern as long as they arent outragous. give me some ideas and where to get them. or some ideas of what not to get! Thanks inadvance!

I'm using EBC Green Stuff pads. Brakes are like tires and shocks you will get plenty of opinions. I have heard the hawk's are hard on rotors.

Hawks are great, get the HPS pads, very little dust, great stopping power and not alot of money. EBC's are also very good at about the same price.

Thanks guys for all the help, i got the hawks setting up stairs, not for sure which compound they are, havent really looked at them, i think that thunder racing only offers one set for my car so thats which ones i got. I need to get my rotors turned before installing them, but am trying to decide if i just want to go with new slotted rotors. Is it worth the money? or just get the old ones turned? thanks again

when i installed my pads, i turned them, needed to BAD... well all i can saw is WOW, forgot what it was like to stop, and not feel the rotors spin under the pads...

unless you autox/love to fly on the road... just get the rotors turned.... yea they may stop a lil better, but stock ones are great.... that is unless you want them just for looks... which i will later once i need new rotors or have more money...

Better hope they are hps, anything else is going to dust so much you'll curse the day you put them on. Even the HPS aren't as clean as the OEM.

I would never waste $60 on LT1 brake pads. I paid $165 shipped for my LS1 set up and the pads and rotors were in great shape i reused the both. My car stops 10x's better just going from stock LT1 pads to LS1 setup with stock pads. The LS1 set up is so cheap now on ebay its just not cost efficient to try to boost performance on the LT1 setup.
