This post is for my dad, we are restoring a 73 camaro and he needs a neutral safety switch for it, we have been scouring junk yards, and i've been on ebay. From what he said he might need to get the whole pedal assembly? im not too familiar with that part of the car just trying to take advantage of technology to help him out, any sites? other models we can look on for that pedal assembly? thanks for anything

Neutral safety switch can be found at your local parts store.. check websites www.autozone.com www.advanceautoparts.com

As far as the pedal... check www.yearone.com or paddocks magazines....:)

it's a 4 speed car, napa says they don't carry it but i'll check those sites, my dad is under the impression he cannot buy one and has been trying to find one in junkyards, but every 4 speed car has had that switch removed, which strengthens his fears that they are near impossible to get

thanks

Can someone confirm whether or not the switch on the clutch pedal is the same type of switch that works off the brake pedal to activate the brake lights?? Even if they're a little different, could one of those switches be made to work? They're doing the same thing: pushing makes a connection, releasing breaks the connection, right?:blah:
