Sorry for the caps in the title, i know it pisses everyone off but i need advice fast, cuz i'll be heading out to the track real soon for the first time in this car. Anyways i have been wanting to invest in a short throw shifter for awhile now (Damn 2-3 shifts ) and i was wondering if i was to combine the slp shifter with a lou's short stick would it be worth it, or should i just go with a pro 5.0 or something. Please any advice you guys shoot at me would greatly appreciated, thanks alot

i've had the factory hurst (slp shifter) and a lous stick for 3 years on my 2 cars....
and for the price it is hard to beat!!! VERY solid, sure shifts with very little throw. i measured my shifts from 1-2 and it was about 3.5"
if interested i have a short stick for sale...PM me if interested.
i paid $50 for my shifter out of an SS, and $55 for the stick brand new...so $105 shipped for a fantastic shifter...hard to beat.

Yeah, best bang for the buck is a shifter out os an SS with a short stick. I had this setup, then went to a Pro5.0 setup and it's not worth the money...
...BUT the nice thing about the Pro5.0 (not sure about others like the ripper, etc) is that it has the stop bolts, so you're saving yourself some $$$ in the case you overshift and bent a fork or something.

The SLP shifter is actually a factory Hurst that has been modified. I have the SLP shifter and a TnA short stick, and it is much better than the stock Hurst. In my opinion, buy the SLP for about 90 bucks, and get on eBay and find a TnA short stick for 25. Its better than the stock Hurst, and MUCH more efficiant than the 150 dollar B&M, which isn't all that impressive any way.
GO SLP! You will be glad yo did.
Good luck man!
