Well, I have noticed that sometimes when I hit the gas the revving is delayed. I manually moved the throttle right by the spring and it was pretty hard to move, once I got it moved it had play in it buy maybe my throttle body blade could be sticking? Or could it be the spring? Not sure, would it be easy to check the TB blade and/or clean it? Thanks for any help

I have that exactl problem with my Toyota RAV4... it's just the blade sticking I think. I took off the intake elbow and just cleaned up all the crap and other various parts where it could be sticking. Hasn't stuck since

clean your throttle body, remove it, clean with carb clean and an old toothbrush

I did that but now my toothbrush tastes like gas. What gives.

Cool, guess it IS that simple. But does it HAVE to come off in order to clean it? Or would I be risking having stuff get into the intake?

You will probably be ok with out taking off your TB. Look at it, it's probably just a little carbon around the blades and bore.

Yup, I can see buildup there and also around my MAF?!?!
My air filters are on tight and my SLP CAI is still clean inside save for slight discoloring/rusting where the AIR tube hole is on the inside (still coated black on outside). Guess I gotta get some carb cleaner this week and tooth brush it. The way I figure it is if I dont use too much and use a tootbrush I can easily get everything out with the TB open and a paper towel or something that will leave nothing behind.
Thanks for the help guys :D Doesnt cause me too many problems but it noticably sticks sometimes, maybe when it heats up and expands probably.
