1995greenTA 10-17-2004, 06:41 PM One of my buddies is going to sell his ricer and finally get a real car. He found this 1995 Trans Am for 6k obo and its silver with a single red racing stripe and red leather interior. He was wanting to know if it was an original colored car? The guy selling it said it was one of 250 produced? anyone know anything about them? thanks for the help
mark896 10-17-2004, 07:15 PM I've had a 95 Formula, 97 WS6 T/A and my current car. I have NEVER heard of that one..
In 1994 there was a 25th Anniversary Edition made but it was white with a single blue stripe.
Birdman7389 10-17-2004, 07:15 PM I'm gonna say no....I'm not the expert but it does not ring a bell....and sounds kinda ricey with the red interior lol
SFB767 10-17-2004, 07:16 PM It doesn't sound familiar to me.
The only factory T/A with a single racing stripe (blue) was the 25th ann. T/A.
Fuels94TA 10-17-2004, 08:42 PM It's nothing, In 95-96 they did come out with the Comp T/A which is silver and a gray stripe that run from the nosie to the tail. The headrest would of have also a Comp TA logo on it. Then there was the 25th anniversary TA in 94 which only came in white with a blue stripe from the nosie to the tail.
1995greenTA 10-17-2004, 08:49 PM Thanks guys, i dint think they produced one, but when i first thought of the single stripe, i was thinking of the comp t/a and the anniv. ones. And to birdman, why does red leather sound ricey? im pretty sure red leather was an option in some 4th gens and corvettes...

Well, no.. red leather was not on option as far as I know.. but I do agree with you that red would look nice. As long as it's not full out red interior. But on my door panels, I replaced that carpet crap with red leather and I would love two tone red seats one day
Birdman7389 10-17-2004, 09:23 PM I dunno, just seems like one of those cheesey mods ricers do like painting every plastic piece on the inside car or something. Its not rice on say....the new G.T.O.

are you sure about that??? Ive saw several f bods with red leather, almost bought one, and one of my moms friend has it in her camaro...i think it was an option or at least availible..anyone else want to chime in on this? Also with the vettes, my dad was going to buy one except it had red leather and he hated it so he settled for his ws6...
Birdman7389 10-17-2004, 09:45 PM hmmm, I've been at this for about 5-6 years and have not seen or seen a pic of a 4thgen with red leather (seen some terrible pleather seatcovers though)
fbodyfreak 10-17-2004, 09:55 PM I agree, red leather does sound ricey, sorta like vinyl graphics, they just think they go faster with them on, me I like the tan cloth interior, leather kinda burns in the summer time in Georgia.

I wasnt questioning your knowledge, ill admit i must be wrong :o
Birdman7389 10-17-2004, 11:44 PM lol, its not like that..I'm by no means the know-it-all, just saying I've not seen one
Injuneer 10-17-2004, 11:51 PM Per the "Firebird Red Book", in 1995, there was a red leather option for the Firebird. 1995 was the only year it was offered. The red interior was Trim Code 70. There was also a "Bright White" leather offered in 1995, only in the convertibles - Trim Code 10.
turbo_Z 10-17-2004, 11:52 PM Marcin or Saint69XX... however his name goes has red/black interior he purchased out of a T/A. Looks VERY nice. If you check out his webpage you will see what Im talking about.

Marcin had red and black leather combo in his Z that he got out of a TA. It looked badass actually.
)2overt SS 10-21-2004, 09:43 PM Wow... I did not know that red leather was ever an option...
As for a red leather interior being rice. I don't think you guys know what I mean by a red interior..
I completely agree that a full out red interior would look horrible.. I'm talking about a nicely planned two tone (red and black) And I know it looks good because I've seen one. It was a 2000 Black Camaro SS, and the seats were two tone (like the 35th ann Camaro) Only red instead of tan... he didn't have a full painted interior or any crap like that. And oh man did it look niiice.
