Soooo I had a problem with my 96 Z28 that i just bought a week ago, i had it TWO days, and it left me stranded in the middle of the road, wouldn't go into gear, and when i finally got it into gear, the gears just grinded. Soo i put a new clutch in today and what do you know, it STILL doesn't go into gears... any suggestions as to what the problem may be??!?

 

how does the pedal feel? you positive the cluthc fork is on the t/o bearing completely? prior to getting "strandeD" what were your driving habit's? what kind of shifter do you have? are the stop bolt's up against the shifter?

 

im almost 100 percent positive the fork is on the TO bearing the entire way, the pedal feels normal and solid, before it broke on me i was babying it, about 45 miles on the highway in 6 gear at about 75 MPH, got off the high way downshifted to a stop like 2 times, then its when it happened

is the slave and master cylinder leaking mabe you got air in the lines so its really not disingaging the clutch. also do you hear alote of noise just leting it sit there in nuteral?

i dont hear any noises when its in neutral and even when i muscle it into gear it only grinds a lil bit, im gonna try and bleed the system down tomorrow night and see what happens, thanks for the help guys
