Alright so my friend has a 03 Cavalier and he wants to run em. So we go out to and open road by my house and im thinking geez this is just a cavalier and im gonna smoke him, sadly i get my butt handed to me by 2 car lengths in 1/4 mile. My car is a 94 with a 3.4 and manual trans. ALL STOCK. so im wondering if im just an aweful driver, my car sucks, or are those dang things just that quick. I know my car is slow but i thought i could atleast beat a cavalier. Also this thing has the new echo-tech motor ? so give me some input guys.

Are you comparing that to your 170 hp volkswagon?

Like said earlier just don't race anything. I used to have one and I constantly got my a$$ handed to me (except in a few rare cases). You could put exhaust on it. I had a dual outlet flowmaster on my 3.4 and it helped A LOT (felt like a different car). It sounded like crap naturally, but I just wanted the dual tip look it balances the car out (aesthetically of course).

Yea, don't race anything. I had a 3.4 also and it was horribly slow. I think stock they are in the civic ex range. Bad day for gm when they put that engine in a camaro.

there was a guy on this site (forgot his name) who had one of these V-6 F-bodys. He had all the bolt-ons, weight reduction and a nitrous system; he got the thing to run in the 12s. You just have to know what your doing with the car to make it go fast!

Installing a catback and headlight covers isn't going to get the job done.
