Ran a new GT

I was puttin along and a new GT fresh off the lot pulled along side of me. NOT the new retro looking ones but a 2004.

It was an older guy with a mullet :p

Anyways we were doing 30mph and both in second as far as I could tell.

He punches it and I hit it about a split second after.

He kept up almost through the top of second and then I started pulling pretty hard. I shut down around 120 and was several cars ahead.

My Rpm's were really low when I punched it but I wasn't about to shift into 1st at 30pmh :D

what car were u in? he kept up through almost an entire gear? not bad , anyway good kill

Ya... It wasn't until the top of second when I started pulling.

He probably gunned it deeper into the power band then I did :)

This is totally off topic but how do you like your c5 compared to your firebird. My dads got a lot of money comeing in this december so i'm thinking of getting a lower mileage car, probably an LS1. I'm just curious if you think c5 is worth it.

If Bang for your buck is your goal, then get a 98 Ls1 for like 10k.

If you want a car that hauls azz and profiles better then most, get the vette.

You will probably pay over 20k even for a 97 C5. You could probably find one for less but its not going to have low miles and be in excellent condition.

Was the C5 Worth it...? Oh hell's yes!

Once the Blue Devil comes out, my C5 is going bye bye.

Good Kill, you guys see that BFGoodrich add w/ a blue retro GT w/ dubs on it....man rims wake those things up nicely
