I just scored a complete '99 LS1 engine minus harness and PCM, one new GM rotating assembly, and two spare cranks for $1500. Now I'm trying to see if there are any other ways to build an LS1 a little bigger and better using GM parts. Are there any better heads to use, or any GM combination of parts to build a bigger bottom end? I'm going to use the complete engine cammed for now and possibly go carbed for a retrofit. Want to build a second motor with the extra parts really wicked. :D Thanks!
