I'm seeing at least 1 sometimes 2 a day in all different colors and trims. I saw a vert gt, but I don't think I like it as much as the coupe. The back end hasn't quite grown on me yet either but the front is bad a$$.

I don't think the GT's are supposed to be out until January. Only v6's.

Well, you're over in Livonia. I think they still have a lot of manufacturer's Mustangs driving around. I see at least 1 each day on Hines Drive while riding my mountain bike. I think that a lot of them are from Ford though.

Considering Ford has a plant located directly across from GM's North American Northstar Powertrain plant it doesnt surprise me. I have also been seeing more and more here. I saw 3 GT's driving by GM's Tech Center today in Warren.

There is a way to tell if they are still fleet vehicles (which they obviously still are). In the lower part of the windshield (driver side) there will be a barcode. If it's there, that's how you can tell. On GM's its there, on Fords I believe its there OR on the driver side window in the corner.

I haven't seen all the license plates, but all of the plates I did see were manufacture plates.

Trust me. By Christmas we'll be tripping over these cars.

The only reason I haven't put a deposit on one yet (plus I'm waiting for GTOs to drop more ;)).

I've seen a new Red GT in town for the past few days, I guess the dude got it from the Ford dealership in town. It looks alright but I'm biased to the Camaro though so I can't give the mustang too much credit. BTW saw a white LT1 Z28 in town I am going to go down to a local dealer and see if it would be a decent buy or not.

dealership my bro works at just sold a custom order GT a few days ago. I think they are only letting custom order GT's go first from what he said, then the rest will follow later on. Stealerships are allowed to upmark as much as they want, there is no sticker attached to the cars supposedly for the first few comming in.

You guys with the "Then go buy a Mustang GT" Jinxed me......

My Wife has been complaing about her Skittle (A 03 yellow Neon SRT-4). Says its fun and she likes it but she wants something more mature thats RWD and V8. She loves my GTO so I tryed to pawn it off on her so I can go get a 2005 LS2 GTO but she wasnt having it. We are driving buy a FORD dealer and she says "is that the new mustang" and im thinking "oh, crap."

We go take a test drive of a Silver GT Manual with the red int. and trim package. The car feels faster than my GTO and rides about as nice too. The next 2 days Im calling every ford dealer in out ares looking for the color and options that she wants, but no luck. So we ordered a 05 Mustang GT.

The only good thing that came of this is now she cant complain when I want a 07 GTO or Camaro because she is now on the less than 2 year new car cycle that Im on.

Well , I went down and looked at them thursday . I definately liked them better in pics . I was left not liking the red/black leather GT I looked at all . The car looks down right wierd from alot of angles and the front looks unfinished aaaand the interior did not even looks as cool as it did in pics . The whole car was just kinda blaaah . I do hope it sells really well though , to lite a fire under GM's ass . From a looks standpoint , IMO ....it wont be a hard car to top at all .

Evil Turbo SS

All the mag cars had both of the interior trim and seat packages. The cars without it look bland.

I was over at the stangnet and people keep saying that for 10 k more its not that much faster/nicer. But our ordered 05 Mustang GT sticked for 29 k and my 04 GTO 6 spd has a 32.5 k sticker on it. Thety are both optioned the same now except my GTO has tons more room and a IRS. The price difference is really $3500 For similarly equpid cars.

We will soon have both of these cars in our stabel and it has made me realize that GTO is to big to be a pony car. Camaro cant be based on the same platform as any GTO sized car. Im not talking Exterior dementions, overall size and weight of the car.

The GTO and Mustang GT our not in the same class. I would never cross shop these 2 cars. My GTO is a awsome everyday car that gives up some "feel" for comfort. The Stang looks, feels and drives like a pony car.

this guy just disassembled an 05 GT engine....said it will need some work before any boost can go through it...

Evil Turbo SS
10-23-2004, 04:33 PM
Same level of parts as the outgoing GT. 8 psi of intercooled boost will be just fine. Whipple is running endurance tests now with there 2.3 L intercooled twin screw blower kit. It has the same quality of parts as our LS1s do. Lets face it. we wont ever see forged pistons and rods in a NA motor again.

My dealership had a $3500 rebate on a GTO a month ago. I talked to them a little bit and they said that the lowest price they could go was $27,000 plus sales tax(which is 9.25 here) So that is almost $2700 in sales tax. If I ever buy a new car, it won't be from a dealership in Tennessee.

If its a GT it'll sell, US has a hard on for these cars, they always have

Has anyone noticed that the '05 Mustang wheels really suck????? The best wheels are the optional ones only available on the V-6 (premium model or something)!!! Geez! It's a good thing I'm anti Rustang because if I was buying one I'd have to get a special ordered GT with the premiuim V-6 wheels!
the cool wheels (http://www.fordvehicles.com/2005mustang/images/pho/mst05_expopup_7.jpg)
the boring wheels EVERYONE will have (http://www.fordvehicles.com/2005mustang/images/pho/mst05_expopup_3.jpg)

Sorry to double post but... based on past statistics, hard-on doesn't describe Mustangs. More women own the previous generation of Mustangs than men, about 80% of the V-6 Mustangs are driven by women I believe. I forgot the actual stats. As with most performance cars, the GTs didn't sell as high as the V-6 models either. I think about 52% were owned by women and 48% men though. If you find the stats let me know though, I could be wrong.

Come on man, Do some research before you post. Don't talk about something you don't know 100% about. And you will stand corrected after clicking this link below, BTW the wheel's in this link are offered on the 05.

#1 Your link doesn't work.
#2 I do know 100% about the wheels.
#2.5 I know 100% about the wheels because I have the brochure. Therefore my claims are accurate (unless I posted a pic of a Mustang with the wrong wheels--don't know, haven't checked), check the pic I just took. See the badass wheel with the chrome spinner? Well that's the cool wheel. The 2 GT ones I consider boring. As previously stated, if I were getting a Mustang GT, I would have to special order the premium V6 wheels.
