im hoping to get a hair past the 300hp mark after i get the LT's and tune, but i cant get to the track till a few more months. im just wondering what to expect when i do get to the track? so far i have:

functional ram air
52mm TB
Lt's/ORY
cutout
3000 stall
removed sway bar
et streets/skinny's

i just dynoed 269hp/284tq, but on monday im going back to dyno w/ LT's. i am shooting for 12.9-13.3, if i cant hit the 12's im getting 4.10's, 1.6rr's, and some suspension :D thanks for any imput

I've got LTs, custom 3" ypipe, 3" Hooker catback, no cat, Moroso CAI, 160º Thermo, and a light tune. The rear still has 2.73s and stock stall. I put down 277rwhp/314rwtq. I've managed a best of 13.58@102. Best trap of 104. With your stall and sticky tires+skinnys, you should be hitting low low 13s in good weather. I guess you can count the 52mm TB. :p You should hit what you're wanting. Good luck with it.

Pro stock et formula says, 3650 lbs, 300rwhp, 13.38 at 101.8. All perfectly matched to run that number, gear, converter, tires, cam, etc....

A good bud of mine that I would bet makes 290 rwhp/320 rwtq ran in a full weight 94 automatic f-bod a 13.03@105.11 the other night.

I doubt that you'll hit 300 rwhp, but if you do, then you could probably see mid 13's to low 13's. I just don't want to get your hopes up too high. Hitting 300 rwhp with an A4, 3000 stall, and your other new mods is still very optimistic.

You dont need 300 rwhp to run 12's. Just the right setup mainly and traction, your stall with 3.73's and a good 60' should get you 12's.

Times in sig are with 268 rwhp, obviously power helps too but a good stall/gear combo is just as important.

Very true SSmark, the biggest problem with most cars is too little chassis/suspension. Far too many simply thro more hp at their cars instead of working on the car itself and unlocking what they already have.

Weather and track prep make a massive difference.

since i am going into the suspension soon what would you guys suggest getting first? i was thinking LCA's w/ relocation brackets, then torque arm, after that SFC's. what do you guys think? i really want to hit 12's with just bolt ons.

With 271 rwhp I ran 13.04 @ 103 with a slipping tranny. My raceweight was around 3700 lbs. Hope this helps.

Scratch all the above items because they won't help much at all for drag racing. If you want to do suspension get drag launch springs and adjustable shocks. 12's are not hard to acheive in a full weight bolt on car even with stock suspension. But weight reduction is a beautiful thing. If you are willing to sacrifice a ton of comforts you can hit 11's without touching the motor. It's very cost effective and running light sure feels good. ;)

I was thinking i'd make around 290 as well. Ended with 313/356 and had 3/4 tank of gas, full weight when I went 13.03 @ 105.11 last Wed. The car has went 12.998 on a better track - currently waiting for a tune to hopefully get the a/f dialed in right.

I dynoed 261/246 at the wheels on my v6, and at altitude I ran a 13.70@99.84mph. The air was 4400'DA, 27.23 baro, 66.7*, and 70% humidity, a 300 horse car should easily run 12's closer to sea level

At 314/344 and 3575lbs I ran from 12.15 @ 111 to 12.5 @ 108. 3.42 gears and a pretty aggressive converter.

I hope to be somewhere near this considering that my HP is very close to yours. For some reason my car doesn't pull 'smoothly', hopefully this was due to my inexperienced tune.

I'll find out tonight how much better it runs before hitting the dyno again to fine tune it.

dynoed 274hp/285tq through stock exhaust, but i was running lean so i didnt make a run with the cutout. i would say i should get around 10hp with the cutout and another 8-10hp with the tune. that should put me around 290hp+/300tq after a few weeks when i get my chip and dyno again.

buddy of mine has a 93z with some suspesion work and some weight pulled out of the car. It made 318rwhp and it just clicked off a 11.920@110 today.
