My personal opinion on the order would be...
06-GT350(I think it's just a little too coincidental that Shelby is signed on and now that "boy racer" car is running around now painted up in the GT350 paint scheme)
07-Cobra or GT500
08-Bullit
09-Boss 302 to celebrate the Boss' 40th anniversary.

That time table seems pretty logical and possible. The only question is weather the 06' is the model year or the calender year. I would think that they would wait maybe 1 year after the initial introduction year, so 2 years, to put out new models.

"Seeing something special" could include the Cobra for 06 and not an SE....
If there is one, something tells me it will be cosmetic. A rumour from a guy who's dad is a Ford Designer is that there will be a California Special debuting at the beginning of 06MY. Cosmetic upgrade.
Sort of makes sense as they would want to get the Cobra out before putting out any other mustangs with performance improvements. Plus, the GT has enough excitement and power associated with it to keep most people preoccupied until the 07MY.
I talked to shelby automotive and they said they are not working on a mustang project with ford as of yet (supposedly), but they were working on something for either SEMA or more likely NAIAS that would be a very limited production (100 -200 cars) and more exclusive $$. I think there will be involvement, but it doesn't sound like it will be right away.
But I guess we'll see.

I'm not really worried when it happens as long as I know IT IS going to happen. But two very big people within Ford have made public comments about this.
Thursday, September 30, 2004 - Detroit Mi.
Ford Motor Company (F) today announced that the first of many special edition Mustangs will be a limited production Barbie Mustang. The Barbie edition Mustang will include daisy style rims and a pink paint job. Performance mods will include a pink colored K&N filter and Japanese style "beep beep" higher pitch horn.

Yes, but shows what you *could* do with the Mustang.
