I'm not convinced that it will be out that soon. The Powerlease info we've seen a while back clearly states its an 07 model, maybe an 06 1/2 at the earliest. But you never know I guess.

Also, I highly doubt any major SE's before the Cobra hits? :confused:

I've always heard that 6 months before the Cobra would be out, you'd see a SE. What type of SE is anyone's guess. Could just be a stripe wheel package, but I'm thinking in 2006 we'll see a Mach1 similar car from Ford or GT350 Shelby (ecu tune, better wheels/tires, stripes, etc...). Lyons says a SE in '06 model year. I wouldn't be surprised if that SE has a Cobra following right on its heels. I think Ford realizes that many people who want a Cobra won't be able to afford one. Thus they'll have to produce a SE for them (and me).

The first "major" SE will be in MY07. Whether or not it is called Cobra remains to be seen, but there is an internal codename. There will be a SE released at some point in MY06, but it will not have "major" powertrain differences.

So far more than one source (a major one) disagrees with you.

We shall see, won't we? :p

(sigh) How many more versions of the Mustang do we need?

Next thing we know, Ford will be making a Mustang to compete with the Hummer1.

what is this SE?

SE = Special Edition

An example would be the last Bullitt or Mach1 Mustangs.

Oh ok, i was thinking that it was going to be something like a model specification like focus se.
