quick question need help asap

I have a 96ta with the 4l60e, im about to get a second tranny for my car to have beefed up. it is from a 94lt1

will that tranny still work and me ok, or do i need to forget about it.

I think they are the same tranny.

That is what i thought also, my friend who is a mechanic and fellow moderator on fbody.com was telling me that some stuff inside the trans was diffrent.
IM sure if that is the case programing will take care of it
