Combination Motorsports 4L60e tranny is slipping BAD!!!

in september of last year my stock tranny bit the dust, so i replaced it with combination motorsports level 1 4L60E. and a new Vigilante 2800 stall. since then i have put 11,000 miles on the car. with about 30 passes at the dragstrip. my best pass is 12.2 at 110 with a 1.73 sixty foot. the tranny has always shifted perfect and no problems with it. until last week. OD started to slip a little on the way to work, then the next day OD started to slip alot. i checked the fluid it was OK. the day after that it progressed to OD slipping so bad its like being in neutral, and drive 3 slipping really BAD...
1st and 2nd work good, and the tranny shifts fine.

i sent Combination motorsports an email last week, but they have not responded to it....

is there any other reason the tranny would do this? im thinking the 3-4 clutch pack is toast....

im tired of dealing with slipping azz automatics, i will put a t-56 in it.

what would cause the tranny to go out so fast? im not making really high HP/TQ, i only trap 110????

any suggestions/advice?

personally, i don't put too much stock into that companies trannies. i ordered one last year and they told me it would ship in 5-7 business days. SIX WEEKS LATER, i called them and told them to cancel it....they told me i COULD cancel it because it HADN'T EVEN BEEN BUILT YET!!!!!!!

it has nothing to do with actual product quality, but i'm warning you now, their customer service is TERRIBLE.

as for your tranny problem, if your 3-4 clutch pack was burned up, the car wouldnt shift into 3rd at all or at the very least would have a very hard time doing it.

i believe that the clutch pack is very worn, but not totally gone, in drive 3 it will hold the same speed and gain a little, but the second i start going up an incline, the tranny starts slipping and my car starts slowing down....

if 4th is worse than 3rd, maybe its an "on the way out" clutch pack combined with a damaged band or something.

in any case i wish you luck. is the tranny still under warranty???

the tranny is supposed to be for good for 450hp/500tq, with a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty....

either way it should have lasted longer than what it did....
i payed about $2200 total for the tranny
$1300 for the tranny
$700 for the convertor
$200 for shipping

im right on the border line of being out warranty, im going to give them a call tommorow since they still havent returned my email....

still no response from combination motorsports
