1997 Cadillac Catera $4750 OBO must go soon! MA
I need to get this car out of the driveway so that I can buy a camaro! 97 Cadillac Catera, yes its a cadillac, no it doesnt LOOK like or drive like a boat, its sporty and fun to drive, dont need to be 80 years old to drive it! LOL
104,000 miles, automatic transmission, leather interior, bose 12 CD changer, heated seats, 3.0 V6, GREAT LOOKING CAR!
If you know about Cateras, you know that they tend to have lots of problems....well, at 104,000 miles dont be expecting any surprises...shouldnt have any trouble for a long time! All the problems happend and were fixed well before 100k
Runs great, gets good mileage, quick enough to be a fun car to drive, VERY comfortable car but not in the sense that its not still sporty. Paint is probably average for a car with this many miles, so its got a few highway rock chips here and there and 1 or 2 small dings, a VERY small area I just noticed has a little rust bubble but its not bad at all....
Interior is in great shape, no rips or tears or anything like that. Right now the check engine light IS on, and its been scanned both by AutoZone and a mechanic and its just one of the o2 sensors isn't working properly, but it passed MA inspection without a problem. I just havn't gotten around to ordering the o2 sensor yet, but it will be fixed before I sell the car. The only other problem with the car is that the valve cover gaskets i think are leaking a little bit of oil. Nothing big, just if you drive for a long time you will smell it a little bit when you get out of the car and if you open the hood, you WILL see a little bit of smoke from the oil dripping onto the exhaust manifold. I bought the valve cover gaskets but dont have the time/tools/space to change them.
I had it on AutoTrader.com for 6,000, lowerd the price last week to 5,750, but really want to get a Camaro (or firebird) soon, and the only way I'll be able to do that is if the Cadillac is gone. I want this car gone, BAD. err...what I want bad is a Camaro or firebird, but in order to get one the caddy has to go, so you get the point...lol
it IS rwd but has TCS and ABS and all that stuff, and its great in the snow actually....turn the TCS off and yeah, you'll slide around corners (never been done, but when it was my dads car he did show me what the difference between TCS and no TCS was in a parking lot, lol), but with the TCS on, you wont have any problems staying where you want to be.
Because I am more interested in selling the car soon than I am about selling the car for lots of money, I am willing to sell the car for $4750!!!! thats 1000 dollars LESS than what I have it on AutoTrader for! I really cant go much lower than that, but any real offers (aka no "$5 dollars cash..." offers) will be conciderd! I'm in Massachusetts (Near Lowell) and if anyone wants to stop by to look at/ drive the car before hand, thats not a problem at all, just let me know when you want to come by and if i have work, i'll let my dad keep the car for the day and he'll show it to ya.
I would be willing to trade for an LT1/6 speed camaro/firebird in decent shape.

lol
why thank you! lol
the day i took those pics (a few weeks ago) I did the whole wash/paint cleaner/polish/wax thing......just using the cheapo Meguiars deep crystal stuff...lol I washed/waxed it last weekend too.....I'm actually very happy with how it looks now, cause my dad (previous owner) would wash the car every month or so, but this was before any of us knew anything about how bad a regular ol' kitchen sponge, dish soap, and t-shirt actually were to the paint, LOL
but yeah, it does look really nice in person as well....especially when the suns out :-)
Thanks though :-D
