Earlier I was cruising down the pike (2 lanes) & I pull up next to a Durango that was driving pretty quick through traffic. I look over & its a mom driving with her young kid in the back seat, I'm guessing the kid was in a child seat since he/she was in the back. Anyway light turns green & she takes off with all she had. I gave it full throttle for the 1st-2nd shift just to show off a little, then let off the gas. The reason for my story is that I was surprised how much power that thing had, not sure if it was a Durango R/T or not but it was pretty fast off the line. She probably surprises a lot of rice burners at traffic lights. :)

I have a durango R/T and its a pig. Good pick-up for a SUV though. THe AWD is VERY nice in the rain and snow.

My g/f has a 99 durango w/ the 5.2L in it and I was surprised as to how much power in actually had. I forever talk alot of trash to her about how I want to race her in my dad's '90 sub with the ole' 231k 454 in it :D Even though I know I'll get waxed, I think I've got her convinced she thinks she'll lose ;) Ah well, there's always the bird

My mom has an '04 with AWD and the Hemi, and that thing runs alright, especially from a roll.

My woman has a '99 with the 5.2L as well. Nice truck, but we don't go looking for races though. Although, we did smoke some chump in a Scion the other night coming back from Home Depot! Loaded up with stuff too!
