3" exhaust down to 2 1/2" ?????

My y pipe is 3" but old tailpipe is 2 1/2" I cant find any reducers in town that big how do I get them matched up. Its about 20" long where cat should be. So Im going from 3" to 2 1/2". Hope Im not confusing.

Uhhh, making the pipe smaller isn't a good idea. Go get a 3 inch pipe...

Rule of thumb: The less amount the exhaust has to bend, or go from one size to another... The better.

Stick with 3" The whole way, Exhaust shops will have it.

I found some glasspacks I think I can get one 3" inlet and 2 1/2" outlet. So thats what I want to do. I understand it would be better for a 3" catback but I dont want to spend money so this will have to do.

Your screwing up how the exhaust flows, you shouldn't do it, spend a little money, its not that much.

Jegs has a flowmaster reducer that is smooth and 8" long so I ordered that. Should work ok. Thanks
