Any tips on restoring sun eaten paint, without repainting it?

I left my car out in the hot Arizona sun for two years. yes, without a car cover. and when i went to wash it, the paint started to come off with the water. what can i do to restore it? can i just wax it?

If the paint is coming off no amount of waxing will put it back on. Your only choice is to re-paint.

If the paint is peeling it needs to be painted. If it is just faded most likely nothing will bring it back. Some light polishing compound and a couple coats of good wax help a little but I would wait for more feedback.
