Does anyone have a fix for this POS fuse panel lid?

I'm trying to fix this POS fuse panel lid in a 2002 Firebird. My Z's lid actually has a functional design. It's flat with two stock verco squares that fell off about 2 days after it was bought new. I've tried new velcro, that was a waste (didn't even try to stick.) I tried RTV to the back of the velcro, RTV stuck great, to the plastic, the velcro fell off of the RTV??? Other than tapping a screw through the velcro and into the plastic, does anyone else have a better idea? Thanks.

Hate to say it but good old duct tape. You wont see it as its covered when the door is closed. Ive had 4 camaros and its the best and cheapest cure I know. :eek:

I fixed mine with a 1 inch square piece of velcro. I put it right in the corner part of the lid where there is space. Now the velcro wont stay glued to the plastic unless you crazy glue it on there which is what I did. Worked great.

This might sound funny but what about some thin adhesive magnets like those business card magnets that you could cut to size and have appropriate thin metal on the other side. It shouldn't fall off.

Good velcro for automotive use is hard to find.

Other than taping it, that's all I could think of.

i went to a local hobby shop type place around here called hungates and purchased self stick interlocking fasteners by 3M. basically its 4 bigger strips of that stuff that was holding the panel on. it works great, its been holding that panel on for 4 yrs now with no failure... the product number on the box is 762NA i think it cost me about 3 bucks

My fuse cover on my T/A is laying somewhere in my rear hatch area, kept falling off so gave up on it and removed it and threw it back there, can only see the exposed fuses with the door open do it doesnt bother me.
