k! I have an 1987 camaro and my dam trunk wont close. It was working fine and then i went to close it, (i didnt even come close to slamming it) and it has one of them electric hatches or whatever and usually it makes a wierd sound while closing it, but this time it didnt even make no sound, it wont even click. Im not sure if it is a fuse because the button in the middle of the power windows to open the hatch works but it just wont close!!!! but Any help would be apreciated!!!!! Please!!! :alert: :alert: :alert:

A couple of things might have happened. Stick a screwdriver in there and see if you can open it back up, if it's closed.
Clean the contacts off as well. It might not know the trunk is closed, and the motor might not be running to pull the hatch down.
Worst case, you could have smashed it, or it might be loose or too low.

yea my buddy had the same problem on his 88 camaro, he went to the junk yard and picked up a new motor....and now it works great...theres like three things connected to that (fuse wise) the cigarette lighter, the switch and the dome light so therefore if those work then its not a blown fuse....when you get the electric motor out take two wires and test the motor because it could be wiring....

I agree, check to see if the internal clamps are closed. Then to the above. If you are new to this car, when closing the hatch, pull it down until it engages and hold it there until it starts to move. if it raises up the clamps will close without pulling it closed.
