Its a 1996 Camaro Z28 A4 with 3.23 gears. It is bone stock, no free mods or nething. Second time at the track. My previous best was a 14.297, and I ran a 14.124 Wednesday at Thompson. A Master Tech at Ford says I must have slicks and a cam and ported heads to be running that... screw him, hes upset that my car is faster than his fox body and his 99 GT vert auto. My 60 ft was a 2.234 and I had some major wheel hop, and a good amount of spinning. If I could get sticky tires I think I ould get a 13.9 :) . We will see. Future plans for the car are stock heads with a GM 847 cam. That will be in about a year though. Alright, thought I would share. Thanks.

I could see a 13.9 down the road for you on some BFG slicks. As for the wheel hop either get some better LCA, or switch the bushing out with some ILE type.

13.9 is definately a possiblity ! You can do it.

When you do the new cam; do yourself a HUGE favor and invest some cash into your heads. Get them cleaned, 3 or 5 angle job and some porting done by someone who knows the LT-1 heads. These worked heads matched with a nice cam will yield more power than just a new cam. You'll be thankful you did it at the same time with the cam swap.

I know of 2 guys running cars with worked LT-1 heads and nice cams and they're in the low 12s. Right along side the guys who have aftermarket heads.

Do your self a favor and just do a cam first. A freind of mine went low 12's with just a Hot Cam and all the bolt ons. If your not happy, then do the heads.

Those are good times with a stock a4. Now time for mods. Here is a link to the T.B. Bypass and it doesn't cost anything. Maybe $5 for a clamp and some caps.
