Exhaust Recommendations?

Well about to get the Magnaflow system through Lordco at a decent price (much cheaper then ordering it from anywhere in the states).

Know any other decent stainless exhaust systems that sound good on an lt1? The cars convertable so sound quality is real important, and i'm not looking for something like the SLP loudmouth. Anything anyone would recommend that I could get here locally?

My favorite sounding exhaust for LT1's is the stainless 2OTL SLP exhaust. I have a used one with a cutout and off road pipe I'd let go for $250.

I too love the sound of the SLP 2otl. I wish that I would not have taken it off :( But I have a loudmouth now and it sounds awesome :D A buddy of mine has a Hooker cat back and I think it sounds awesome. I have heard that Magnaflow and Hooker sound prety much the same. I personaly would go with whatever is cheaper and is stainless.

Decided to go Magnaflow from Mopac. I already like these guys WAY more than lordco. Never been their before but their store seems much better organized and enthusist stocked. Here are the prices from them (Kingsway):

Maganaflow - In stock 482.14 + taxes
Borla - Overnight - 1066.29

They beat the Lordco price by 20-30 bux. Borla wasn't in stock but they quoted me at that for it. Seemd to pricey for my budget :) Thanks for the replies guys~!

kinda off topic but what is the differerence between borla and slp loudmouth? i heard the slp was supposed to be the loudest, but all you guys are saying borla...???

im not saying borla is the loudest!!!....Its the best sounding and best quality!

I prefere both the Hooker and Magnaflow to the borla.

Slp loudmouth is the lightest and the highest flowing at 2200 cfm.

Try to listen to as many as you can in person. ChriSS's catback is pretty sweet, not sure what it is but with headers and off road pipes it has a nice growl. May be slp dual dual .

These are 2 that I found. The fasttoys one is on an LS1 that I dont think is very stock. The other I think is pretty much a stock LT1. If you ever want to hear one live in person let me know and you can hear mine :D

Loudmouth rules!

Well got myself the magnaflow from mopac on today and I cant stop grinning :D Sounds fantastic for a vert! No highway drone, roars when you step on it but isn't obnoxiously loud when your just easing her around town! From what I hear it takes about 1000mi before the mufflers "broken in" so to speak. The sound apparently changes during the first while and then after 1000 settles in with a nice deep roar :)

Lordco was priced higher and didnt have it in stocked. Called around and found it at mopac for a cheaper price and it was in stock. Plus I'm just a few blocks from Mopac on kingsway, which was just convenient at the time :D

man mopac aint that bad they did my exhaust cutout and it was the best exhaust work ive seen...looks factory shure there a bit more pricy but meah
