$700+ to spend...

Hey, I've got about $1,100 right now, but I only want to spend around $700, or a little bit more if needed. I was thinking along the lines of 3.73's because I still have my 2.73's, or some shorty headers. I'd also love to have a nice lopey cam... I also live in gay California so it must be smog legal. I'm not a huge performance freak, I just want my car to be as beastly as possible. So what would you guys buy next?

You could probably shop around and find a good deal on both headers and gears... Most shops charge $200-250 for gear install. Figure ~ 250- 300 for gears and complete install kit. Leaves you enough to snag a decent set of un-coated headers, possibly coated if you find a deal from another board member

You could always go with a aftermarket stall converter and the 3.73's... you'd probably spend closer to the $1100 that you have but I think you'd enjoy it very much.

How about this... http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...&vid=3&pcid=68
And just buy a hypertech computer programmer off ebay with the rest of the money so I can adjust my shift points? Then have a little money left over to install them. Or is there any other cheaper/better ways to go?
