I'm getting ready to get a line lock and a proportioning valve and I was wondering what is the better ones to go with?I was looking at Hurst and Moroso on the line lock, and they both seem pretty nice.Anybody have any other recommendations?
I was also wondering is their another way to adjust the proportioning valve besides taking it to an open road.Like a guage or something?
Thanks,
JE

Brake proportioning is going to be very dependent on the tire you're using, the track conditions, how hard you're braking, etc. That's why it's generally put within reach of the driver, because it gets changed. Heck, in Formula 1 you'll see drivers changing it for specific turns on the track. So I think you're going to want to do the same, and get the car balanced for the conditions and setup you're driving with.

What makes you think you need a proportioning valve in the first place ?

I deleted the ABS.I was told you need one to keep the rear brakes from locking up.What else would keep them from locking up?

I like the line lock kits from SJM. www.sjmmanufacturinginc.homestead.com They are a better design then slp take-off kits.
Proportioning valves, I'd suggest summits model as I believe it is made by wilwood anyways. Not sure if you really need it though. It may be a good add-on ONLY if you've removed your abs.
