I am going with a new set up on a LT-4 383 stroker motor that was set up for a YSI trim but I am starting with a S-trim.I will be running a 3" Spearco innercooler with a Brad Brand intake tube at around 12-14lbs.My question is I want my blow off to be loud but also want it to work proper.Should I run it Atmospheric or Recirculate for best results.I think I might go with Atmospheric so it will be loud and blow off before the Mass Air sensor.Any opinions or trial and errors would help me in my final thoughts

If you want it loud use a blow off valve..

If you want to recirculate your already cooled air back into the pipe to mix with air right out the pump use a bypass valve..

The question is ..if you install a blowoff to atmosphere after the MAF, the metered air will be "gone" and there will ba a false reading of air entering the engine. Correct? SO a blowoff to atmosphere shoud be placed Before the MAF.?

Also will a stock MAF wrk after the blower with no problems. ??

Todd,
I would use a bypass valve but that's my opinion. You already have the vortech mondo use the darn thing and get the car out so I can see it :D
