When bracket racing, what are considered good/better/best? Obviously a .001 is pretty dam good. What are the more avid racers cutting consistently?

Thx, kazman 09-14-2004, 03:32 PM In time trials I go full kill and try for the .000 (make a statement). In eliminations I go for a .020 unless I have a hitter in the next lane. Then its kill mode again. I consider .060+ a bad light. The other side of the light is being able to run your dial and know what to do to the top end. But that's another topic. 9T7 Trans Am 09-14-2004, 03:55 PM In time trials I go full kill and try for the .000 (make a statement). Wow, those are some great lights, I was patting myself on the back for cutting an .085. 1st time a few weeks ago. I guess it will just take practice to get that 3rd green just right. Thx, kazman 09-14-2004, 04:17 PM I cut a lot of bad lights this weekend. Lost with a .090 vs .005 round 5 on Saturday, and went red round 3 on Sunday. Time to get back to the practice tree. :D red 09-15-2004, 10:03 AM A "good light" will vary on the class you are running. If it is a class that allows a delay box you should shoot for .005 - .025. If it is a footbrake class then anything under .050 should get you rounds. rock1501 09-15-2004, 12:52 PM When I race in Mod ET and I get worse than .050 I dont expect to have a chance of winning but if I go to an F-Body event and I get a .050-.100 I expect to win :D TedH 09-15-2004, 01:11 PM Here are the Summit stats for my track this past season which just ended. I am the third one down from the top. This is for the footbrake racers only, no delay boxes. http://www.ihra.com/statistics/points/2004/swc/nobox/tracks/tracks0039.htm SABLT194 09-24-2004, 08:11 PM TNT, .518 average on 40 elimination passes is remarkable. I'll assume you had no red eye's in eliminations  Steve | ||
