Fuel Leak

There is a fuel leak on the blue fitting that attaches to the FPSS. There is a port on the back with a plus that I tightened as hard as I could, yet it still leaks. Any suggestions?

Take the fitting loose, put some liquid teflon thread sealer on the threads. Put the fitting back on. Let it dry over night, and it should not leak anymore. :D

I ran into this tonight :( just make sure it is actually from the an fitting and not from the male fitting that is welded to the rail. Mine developed a small crack and is spewing fuel everywhere, pretty little weld too so be carefull there.

the test port is actually brased (sp?) in. i had problems because i was tring to put my fpss back there as well. i twited mine out. had a good friend weld it, now all is well.

I was wondering if I should clean off the fittings or anythign to get a good seal. If so, how would I do that.

Put finger over open of fitting. Spray with parts cleaner or brake cleaner. Wipe dry. Apply sealer to threads of valve. Put on -4 AN fitting let dry 24 hrs before starting. No leaks for me so far :D .

can you verify that the fuel is coming from the threads? what i would do is take off the line, and replace the schreader valve, then check for leaks. if none, then use a small amount of liquid teflon and replace the line after taking the schrader back out. if there are leaks, find someone to weld the test port on the fuel rail. you will need someone who can weld thin material, like aluminium.
