correct me if im wrong but c5 vette wheels come with 285's on back and 245 on front right?
And what is the smallest tire you can fit on 2002 SS 5 spokes wheels. i ask because why do the SS's come with 275s up front, and the vettes only have 245s up front?
thanks

Stock 'vette sizes, according to the stats I have on hand are...
F: 245/45-17 R: 275/40-18
and for the Z06...
F: 265/40-17 R: 295/35-18
(those specs are for 2002MY - Canada)
(different model years may use different tires)
(individual stock may vary)
(dealer may sell for less)
Aside from the fact that the 'vette has a more sophisticated suspension (and thus can make do with smaller tires), the Corvette is lighter, and has less weight over the front tires than the Camaro; therefore it can handle better with smaller front tires.
Additionally, having the same size tires all around makes the assembly process in the factory simpler, and also enables you to rotate tires on your Camaro... something you can't do on a 'vette (unless you unmount the tires). Most 'vette owners don't care about rotating tires. I have to rotate my rears to the front, since the rears always seem to get more wear
I think you could drop down to a 245/45 on the stock SS wheel if you wanted.
