I am selling my 97 SS ... Car runs great and just had tuneup and completetly cleaned .... Paint is in great shape... The color is bright red with t-tops and over $5,000 in options from SLP ... The interior is charcoal grey leather with power everything... Tires are new.... The car is stock except for the mods in sig.....The car pulls really hard for a stock LT1 ... The only reason i am selling it is i am building a new home and need the money...The car has 142,000 miles on it with new SS floor mats ,center caps and air filter... To answer your questions the car books for over $8000 with the miles minus any mods now on KBB PP listing.... The price is $7800 btw... So what is fair to you if you were selling the car $2500... Get a life and stop ****ing with people.

I looked at a black 97 SS here in Indy with 80k miles he wanted 9k for it and I thought it was a grand or two high because it was not perfect. My 96 Z came with new brakes, trans, and a few other things and I got it for 5k with 106k miles. The main problem is the miles but I think $7,500 is a good price for a 97 SS. I would get it cleaned as best you can, ,maybe have it professionaly detailed and then take some good pics of it and I bet you could get no less than 7 out of it. I have never seen a LT1 SS go for less than that :)

yeah i also a seen a 1998 Z28 SS in indy with 107,000 miles sell for $7700 a few months ago. ive seen plenty of 1998 Z28s with around 120,000-130,000 miles and LS1s go for around $7,500-$8,000 im having a hard time getting rid of my 94 Z28 and it only has 48,000 miles and im only wanting $6,000 maybe its just a bad time of year to sell a camaro. i think i would of sold my car by now if it was spring.

You should buy it ... We live pretty close to each other... The car has been professsionaly detalied and a major tuneup.. The car is spotless.... The car also runs real strong to ....If you are ever in Lafayette In contact me and i will show you the car...

Do you intend on buying this car? If not then why are you posting on this thread... You need to read the rules... BTW with all your free time look up kelley blue book and look up my car 97SS with the miles under private party and let me know what you find... I went buy their prices ......

I looked up KBB and the car lists with the options under private party not trade in for over $7,500 with the miles.... Rebuild a car that runs great ,uses no oil and doesn't leak... WHAT FOR... People on this board put heads and cam on stock bottom end with more miles than i have :D

Guys, his price is pretty reasonable although I think he may have to come down a lil due to the market for high mileage domestic V8 cars being so low right now. Also, the SS only has about $350 MAX in mods, so that shouldn't matter very much. I'd buy your car in a heartbeat if it had the mods your other Z has! Good luck selling it, hit me up with an e-mail if you don't get any serious offers.

You can buy the convertible it is forsale for the right price :D Then i will keep the SS... I figured the SS would be easier to sell than the vert.. I put the SS in a tri-state auto trader mag .... The add came out today and i have already had 4 calls and two of the calls are coming to see it Sunday... The price in the mag was $8,100 .... As soon as somone sees the car and drives it it will be sold IMO.... As for the mods you are close about $350 but that is what i like about the car the most...... The thing runs strong and is not real radical sounding....

You will go faster if you drive autos :p The SS is my first 6-speed car and it is great to drive ...... Since you are a 6-speed guy what is a MCcloud street twin with less than a 100 miles on it worth with flywheel?

You will go faster if you drive autos :p The SS is my first 6-speed car and it is great to drive ...... Since you are a 6-speed guy what is a MCcloud street twin with less than a 100 miles on it worth with flywheel?


I'm not sure what the used clutch is worth, but if you were offering it to me I already have a spec stage III. Your McLeod is probably worth around $800-1000 WITH flywheel.

Thanks Lou ... I wish everybody had your attitude in life things would be alot better for everyone.... You are correct about everybody wanting something for nothing... I just saw a 97SS just like mine with 60,000 miles sell for $13,000 a few days ago... That means i discounted the car $5,500 for the miles :eek: and i still get people low balling me :mad: The nice thing is i don't have to sell the car .... I have 2 people coming to look at it Saturday so we will see....

I sold the car today .... i got $8,100 out of the car... I would recommend to anyone selling a car to advertise it locally .... :D Thanks to all the people that said my price was not out of line and to the ones that tried to low ball me :p
