Eastern Michigan Camaro Club Milan Track Rental is Sept 9th 2004

The next Eastern Michigan Camaro Club track rental is Thursday night Sept 9th. The cost is $30 to race. Spectators are free. Gates open at 5:15 PM and racing starts at 6 PM and goes until 9 PM. Please respond here if you are coming out.

I'm going to try to make it out. As long as I can find someone else to drive their car also just in case mine doesn't make it off the track. I'm a bit worried about the rear so no sticky tires for me :D

Well, I just got back from the event. first off I would like to give a big thanks to Matt for helping me out. And also a big huge mega-sized thank you to The president of the club who's name I can't recall for driving all the way back to his house to get his trailer and bring my car back after I blew the rear end on the first pass... I ran about a 45 second 1/4 mile at about 12mph. coasting down all the way.

I also just got back. Kinda dissapointed at how few people there were but on the other hand, getting to race when I wanted to was nice. :D I got my bald tires to hook up enough to run a 13.464 @ 105.61mph which is my personal best since I've only been to the track one other time. That sucks about your car Eddie, I didn't get to see you run but I got to see the black SS blow the rear on takeoff and the older 60's Camaro blow something and have to be towed off.

Thanks to whoever hooked up the event I had a good time.

if so, it's a 70 and we blew the trans, too many 5000 rpm launches and 8000 rpm passes

What was going on with the car? Was the tranny causing problems before it blew? That car seemed awfully loud and obnoxious to only ran what it ran?

they just bought the car a couple of mounths ago, and that was only like the 10th run with it, and the trans brake has been acting up

we've had trouble with the trans overheating too

so yea, major trans problems seem to have been slowly coming, it should run low 10's/high 9's

actually, that run was the bad one, two of the runs were 11.04 @122 mph and 11.10 @121 mph
