LT1 transmission options

my 94 Z28's transmission is startin to show signs that it my be headin down soon.. takin a little longer to shift leakin a good bit and those kinda things, just wanderin what kind of transmission i should look into gettin for it, plannin on someday havin that lt1 or a new ls1 (more than likely an LT) pushin 500+hp through it so im wanderin what could hold up to that and still be good for the car in its current daily driver state someone mentioned a 350 turbo, lookin for more in depth info on that too... lemme hear what you guys think for a good transmision for this application
