I have 5 star rims right know, I want to get them chrome plated. Does anyone have any clue how much it would be ???? Has anyone done this??? I live around ATL Ga if anyone knows any good chromers.

are they the stock wheels?

if so, not even worth it. just find someone who will trade or sell your current ones for chromed ones, or just put the money towards aftermarket wheels

 

Oh no their not stock their aftermarket 5 star rims. Look pretty good now but I just want to get them chromed so they will look even better.

 

wheel technologies charges 160 for 16", 170 for 17" and so on... they are in dallas..but thats about avg per wheel...

160 dollors per wheel!!! Thats crazy, I can buy some zo6 rims that are already chromed for around $500. Thanks for the info, I think I'm just gonna stick to my silver rims for now.

Amazing job, way better than the GM 16" rims that came on my car, or the aftermarket rims I was looking at... mostly do to the polishing then use between layers. Make sure you spring for the "full barrel polish"... it looks amazing compared to just chroming/polishing the face.

 

Check out Corvetteforum.com or a few other places... not uncommon to see C5 unload wagon wheels for cheap... not sure about Z06 rims though... I didn't think GM made them in chrome (although the aftermarket does, of course about 4 to 6 pounds heavier).

 

Plus I heard you only have problems with peeling after getting wheels chromed. I would just look into buying a new set for that price.
