Anyone else have a problem with their windows fogging up during the rain?? No matter what setting I have my HVAC on, nothing really seems to work. And it really gets bad when I'm in traffic. Have any of you tried that fog-x stuff? Its some kind of spray that you put on your windows to prevent them from fogging up. This is very frustrating

Use windex, and clean the inside and outside... I thought my window was fogging up, it sort of was, but it turns out there was some crap on the inside of the window, so at night, when it got sort of cold out, all this translucent white crap sort of appeared.. Took some windex and a paper towel and got that off... now, no problems. (This was a third-gen).

You have your HVAC set to DEFROST, and you put the center knob into the red, and have the fan on a bit, right?

yeah, i cleaned the windows about a week ago...and yeah, I tried setting it to defrost, and had the heat blowing on the first setting. But I'm wondering if cold air should work, because when its kinda warm outside, I dont want to be blowing hot air around.

Have you checked your heater core? Even if there is just a pinprick in it, it will cause your windows to fog up.

Give the Fog X a try. I'm sure it will work just as well as Rain X. I've been meaning to try it myself.. but I'm lazy :o

My car was doing the same thing last spring. As stated above, heater core. It is a very easy install, just take out the glove box and bam. It was like $50 from a local parts store.

Another vote for heater core. Just replaced mine. You don't smell anything?

no, i dont smell anything different. The heater works great. My AC is bad, It hardly works at all, It only blows warm/cold air. I dont know if that would have anything to do with it or not.

im having the exact same problems with my car, my a/c is out on in it and the windows ALWAYS fog up when it rains, and it seems like theres nothing i can do about it...i just try to avoid trying the car in the rain, and drive something else, but a solution would be great!

Same problem here... Any time it rains and I can't have my windows down, the front window will fog up to the point I can't see anything... Part of my problem is my A/C has a leak so the defroster can't work properly... I've tried Fog-x and the others and they never worked 100% for me... I just try to avoid driving when it's raining hard and I carry a towel with me to wipe the window if I do.

fix the A/C (charge it), the AC is operated during defrost to dehumidify the air, humid air hiting a cold windshield will fog it
