xe comp cams 230/236 at 112 lsa on LT-1 stock heads

who out there are running that cam on a full bolt on LT-1, what times are you running ??


boltons like
1.6 rr
long tube headers
high stall,etc

that's ALOT of cam for stock LT1 castings...

i would think it wouldn't be worth it....

I've got that very same cam in my Minirammed 385 stroker engine, though it's not yet finished. I got the cam from a nearly identical engine, and with a Accel DFI computer, 3200 RPM vigilante, 30 lb. injectors, ported AFR 195's, 3.42 gearing, and a 3500 lb race weight third-gen Trans Am, was supposedly doing high 11's at 119 mph in the Chicago area back in the fall of 1999.

this looks to be the cam i will be going with unless i eventually save up for a custom cam fitted to p/p stock heads

bad new's stupid car :mad: , hesitated on the 1-2 shift and wouldn't shift the 2-3 i just kept missing it started at 5800 rpm and stayed there for a wile and jumped to about 6100k and i had to let go of the gas because i't felt like it was going to blow up or something. :( :(

i might want to add the my engine got on fire two days ago for about 10 second's or so not big i also sprayed it with water all over the engine so i think my opti is crapped out,i only burned some vaccum hoses wich i already replaced. sorry guys i dissapointed yall the car felt real strong early that week but not on thurs,friday.

yeah i let off at about the 1/8 mile where it hesitated and all you can see is another camaro pass me up at the end really fast like he had nitrous :p , that camaro ran a 13.9 and i was up ahead pretty good.

My buddy ran stock heads, most bolt ons, 3k stall, 373s with 230.236 on 110lsa.

Car went 12.19 :)

wow and on a 110lsa!! how high is he reving that thing? Seems like he's just asking for a spun bearing.

Honestly i dont know where his shift points are set. On a dynojet the car made 33X through the 4l60e. Think the car weighs about 3500, it does have a few weight reductions (nothing drastic).
