I was flipping through this months MotorTrend when I noticed an ad for the Magnum. Now I know they come in RWD and AWD, so I thought this ad was pretty misleading for the Average Joe looking at the ad (if he even looked this hard). It shows a guy loading up a Red Magnum with a cooler in the back and only the Front Wheels spinning out, and under it, it reads "ALL-NEW HEMI POWERED DODGE MAGNUM RT. OPEN IT UP FROM EITHER END."
Hmmmm

The point of the ad was that you can open it up from the rear, on the right,to load stuff(one selling point) or open up the hemi(other selling poing), which is on the left side, which is driving.
so left side is teh front of teh car driving, right side is when the dude is loading it up with misc stuff.
Its not doing a FWD burnout, and I dont belive that the AWD models are out yet?

well they mean the hatch and opening it up in the back.. and in the driver seat you can open it up from the pedal to the metal.
and I have seen WRX STi's spin the fronts trying to get tracktion :D

I think you're digging a little too deep with it. I think most will get what the ad is referring to. And those who care that it is rwd will already know.

Digging too deep? What is somebody going to think off the bat if they see the Front wheels spinning with the rear stationary? That its FWD. The viewer would have to actually dig deep to find out its RWD (if they didn't know so alreaddy).

If it was doing s FWD burnout dont you think the surroundings would be still and focused, while showing some kind of tire smoke?

I said "spinning out" not burning out, because thats what it looks like, the wheels are in motion. I didn't really see the background in the pic in the magazine for the front side of the car. Its not really quit as obvious in that....holy crap you guys are very flame-atory today...Sorry this thread offends so many of you
